Couture Club by Rosa Clará is one our top collections and brings a touch of Spanish style and flair to our little corner of Northamptonshire.
The eponymous Rosa Clará is a real person and every May we travel to their headquarters in Barcelona, where they have 6 floors of showrooms, to choose the following years collection – we are always spoilt for choice and wish we had a bigger budget! Rosa Clará’s story is fascinating with the bare bones of her rise to prominence laid out below.
Rosa Clará founded her namesake brand of wedding dresses in 1995, when she opened her first wedding dress store in Paseo de Gracia, Barcelona. This began the first chapter of an exciting story in which the Spanish fashion designer and entrepreneur changed the rules of bridal fashion forever, enamouring brides the world over with cutting-edge designs that celebrate individuality, romance and elegance.
This innovative spirit, and her firm commitment to the highest-quality fabrics and production in each wedding dress bearing her signature, remain Rosa Clará's distinguishing features today. The brand is now a leader on the world stage, with upwards of 4,000 Rosa Clará points of sale.
Having defined its own style, in 2002 the firm began a new chapter via its first collaboration with an international designer: haute-couture icon Christian Lacroix. This partnership, followed by other successful collaborations with renowned designers such as Karl Lagerfeld and Zuhair Murad, was a decisive leap forward for the firm.
With her own collection, Rosa Clará went on to launch each edition of the Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week, the leading international wedding fashion show, surprising attendees with dresses packed with creativity and magic, and introducing new trends designed to make the dreams of every bride come true.
The much-anticipated annual fashion show contributed to cementing the brand's reputation as an industry leader, for both the professional audience and women worldwide. This is reflected in the number of familiar faces, friends of the firm, who look to the designer to dress their most important events: Antonela Roccuzzo for her wedding to Leo Messi in 2017, Marie Chevallier who married Louis Ducruet in Monaco in 2019, and Mery Perelló, when she tied the knot with tennis player Rafa Nadal in 2019.
Following the same goal established at the firm's very beginnings - creating bespoke designs to make women happy - the Rosa Clará Group launched a comprehensive service for brides and their guests, creating the Rosa Clará Cocktail and Couture Club Mother Of The Bride in 2007. And, always with women and their needs on special occasions in mind, the group also introduced bridal and party accessories collections to help brides achieve a flawless Rosa Clará total look.
We are privileged to be associated with Couture Club and Rosa Clará and look forward to many years collaboration.
